You need to resign we.are done with politicians like you
Illinois is almost bankrupt, and taxpayers have to pay for all the perks for these people that make more money in a week than most of us make in a year, and I shutter to think what could have happened if this Son had killed many people while driving his Dads taxpayer funded SUV while drunk. How much more money would that have cost all hard working taxpayers. Senate President John Cullerton said he did not give his son permission to drive the SUV, and if that is true, the son should be charged with Grand Theft Auto. When will the people of Illinois enough is enough. I think it is way past time for all the Elected officials of Illinois be fired and we start over with honest people without all the perks. Why should we have to work to pay for all the perks and have all these people keep abusing the working people of Illinois.

We are tired of the Chicago political machine. Southern Illinois has no say in the running of this State. From the funding of freebies for Illegals to this atrocity. To allow elected officials to have such perks as vehicles is wrong . I say take these perks away from elected officials (all of them), and get rid of caring for the illegals and our budget is balanced. Is that so hard…..hell no! God forbid. If this Governor and legislature can’t find a way to balance our budget without raising taxes when the solution is in front of him, we need to get rid of every one of them. I have just about been taxed out of the house I worked so hard to buy while these assholes get vehicles to drive and then let their irresponsible children drive them and get a DUI. Throw them all in jail. Something tells me if the DUI is in Chicago or Springfield, it will be swept under the carpet.
I can’t beleive all the perks the Senate gets with tax payers money. Raising taxes in not the answer. Cutting Senate perks and salaries is.

Remember we didn’t need a constitutional convention for illinois. Remember that richie daley was a representative to the last constitutional convention for illinois. Why would you write compensation into a states constitution? Self Serving bastards. This state needs to be forced into bankrupcy and get it’s priorities right.
These contracts need to be broken just like the treaties with the indians and the UAW. We need term limits and no benefits for politicians. They need to look at public service as a job to do the publics work and not a gravy train.
So he stole the car and should be prosecuted for that. He was DUI and need to be prosecuted for that. And the press needs to follow these crimes and see to it the the connected don’t get off again.
Why isn’t the fair map petition an online petition.

The average American has to NOW get politically ENGAGED, as the T-Party Patriots are doing, to stop Daley’s Political Mafia Organization of Illinois from destroying OUR United States of America.
Is this the same Sen. Cullerton who takes money from the Red Light Camera Companies and refuses to reform their abuses?
I am a democrat and always have been. Today I am discussed with both parties as neither can do what they promise to get done. Each party is ready to blame the other party for all the problems here in IL when both are responsible. It is niether a democratic nor a republican problem it is however a taxpayer problem. So I say that as taxpayers maybe we should all quit our jobs here in IL and move to another state. Then the politicians will have to pay for their own pork projects instead of letting the everyday taxpayer do it for them. Politicians need to learn to create a budget of reality instead of on dreams.
I think, as a supporter of the Tea Party, that we need to look at what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said. We need to look at the morality and ethics as the measure of the man and not the color of his skin or his party affiliation (or hers). Track how your elected officials vote. Did they vote in the best interest of the people or themselves and their friends. We need to be active and encourage everyone we know to get involved. Tell them the facts and make SURE they are FACTS before you start talking. Nothing will hurt the cause more than spreading false information.
Thank you for watching. How much better if the state were to sell those airplanes and autos. EVERYONE uses their own and gets reimbursed for one trip per legislative session. ALL legislators, ALL other governmental officials. This is not supposed to be a full time job. How about our legislators taking a major pay cut like they are asking everyone else to do? How about cutting their office budgets in half – they would still have too much money. How about getting rid of all of the “commissions” and “fact finding” groups? Regardless of how much good work they do, the legislature seems to ignore them anyway.
Stop paying taxes to these crooks, We must learn to rely on our neighbors and ourselves for our own needs. They cannot put us all away can they? Without our money they have nothing, thats all we are to elected officials is a piggy bank. How does that make you feel?
To Mike D’s question, petitions for putting amendments on the ballet for a vote cannot be done on-line. As for the blame on one political party, please note that Republicans and Democrats are in favor of this amendment. The corrupt politicians in IL are not because gerrymandering helps them keep their power. I am a Republican and I have been getting signatures for the Fair Map Petition. A group of Republican Women hosted a Fair Map Forum to inform the public that the Fair Map is needed. Many Republican men and women are working diligently to get this amendment on for a vote.
Our state government needs to start living as they are forcing us to live. They need to stop spending money on themselves and start saving money. They need to stop the pension abuse and work to eliminate the state pension system that pays MORE when you’re not working than when you are actually “working” and I use the term “working” loosely.
It would appear you have as little control over your son as you do over the Senate but your kid does not have the same impact on the rest of us. Please resign and please do not expense your kids legal fees to us. It would appear you do not really need that SUV if your son is running around bar hopping in it (probably should buy his own vehicle if he is 26) so it would be a nice gesture to turn that in as well.

I say term limits, no more than 2 terms…and no continued insurance and retirement after they’re gone. we need fresh faces and ideas, not lifers who just keep giving themselves raises and perks when we are all suffering! And clean out the Chicago MACHINE that controls the whole state!
I was listening to WLS AM890 Don & Roma yesterday morning and heard about this. They said there were 181,000 taxpayer funded vehicles for government employees. They also said they thought that there were only 51,000 government employees so what is that about 3.5 cars for each employee??!!! When the IL official was questioned about the “rules” for using government issued vehicles he said that he was sure there were guidelines but that nobody had been able to locate them. This is completely ridiculous, I have a small business and have to keep meticulous records of my ONE vehicle which is used to do on site repairs. How the hell can they get away with this? All Government is OUT OF CONTROL can full of CROOKS!!!
