How does your state legislator rate?

09scoreIn these challenging times, it is more important than ever to have elected officials who champion proven conservative principles that will get our economy moving, restore our freedoms, and protect our traditional values.

We call these the L.I.F.T. Principles:  Limited Government, Individual Freedom, Free Enterprise and Traditional Values.

That is why we have released our Third Annual Scorecard of the Illinois General Assembly.

The Republican Party has traditionally been the party of those who champions these principles — but, as we all know, not all Republicans share these values.  The scorecard is a quantifiable measurement of each legislators record.  We hope it will remind each legislator to think about the consequences of his or her vote when they return to work later this month.

The L.I.F.T. Principles upon which this scorecard is based represent a new and larger definition of conservatism:  one that speaks to all aspects of society, rather than the narrow interpretation that liberals propagandize.

Please click here to view the 2009 Legislative Scorecard.

As you will see, we recognize as “L.I.F.T. Leaders” those legislators who scored 75% or higher on the scorecard.

Victory in Illinois is on its Way

First New Jersey and Virginia. Then Massachusetts.

Conservatism won the day each time with the help of independent-thinking Americans like you.

No other organization in Illinois is better positioned to lead the way to victory in November than the conservative United Republican Fund, an independent political action committee that promotes limited government, individual rights, free markets and traditional values — the LIFT principles.

The URF is focused on helping candidates that hold tight to those principles and is doing all we can to communicate far and wide how the LIFT movement can energize community activism, electrify online networks and jolt Illinois’ political battlefield toward a modern day American Revolution.

Please take time today to give $20, $50 or more towards our joint effort as we prepare to launch unity, revolution and freedom the day after the February 2 Primary.

The next victory for conservatives will be in Illinois, Obama’s home state. Sounds great, doesn’t it?

Buyer’s Remorse Over Barack?

Are Obama voters feeling buyer’s remorse? Do they feel swindled into voting for someone who has turned out to be far more extreme and liberal than they thought?

Do they feel that this is the “change” they don’t need?
