About the United Republican Fund

The United Republican Fund is Illinois’ oldest, independent, Republican organization. Founded in 1934, the URF is a state-wide network of thousands of Illinoisans, from all walks of life, who believe that prosperity and opportunity come through economic and personal freedom. Our mission is to advance conservative Republican principles, policies, and people by equipping and electing to office men and women who endorse and promote the Republican values of limited and ethical government, individual freedom and responsibility, free markets and traditional American values.
RedShift Illinois is a grassroots project of the United Republican Fund.

Our Focus in 2010

Our focus in 2010 will be to focus our efforts to help elect conservative Republicans (at varying levels of government) who support the L-I-F-T principles: Limited Government, Individual Freedom, Free Enterprise and Traditional Values.

With your support, we will enage in a number of grassroots activities designed to elect these candidates and shift our state from Blue to Red.

For 25 years, the Illinois Republican Party focused on retaining the governership – but allowed the underbelly of our party to rust and rot. The Democrats continue to build their farm team, supporting effective, young candidates at the city council, county board and mayoral levels – because these are the state legislative and statewide candidates of tomorrow.

As such, the United Republican Fund will support those candidates – at whatever level they exist – that help us reach our goal of taking our state back.
